Suspension strategy can greatly affect the function and the comfort of a prosthesis, and the different strategies have costs and benefits that must be weighed based on the needs, characteristics and capabilities of the user. This space can be used to describe some of the variations. Because some types can be used with multiple types of limbs, we'll differentiate between body-powered and myoelectric within types as necessary.
